New user profiles, improved email invitations and timezones

Today you can make your Eliademy profile really personal by specifying your location, university, city, social media handler and even adding a small bio about yourself. Bio field can be used biographical information, sharing your office hours with students or listing your interests – anything that can make reaching you easier for your teachers, classmates and colleagues.

We also improved sending email invitations. Now as a teacher you will be able to import all emails at once from a CSV file. We also added lots of hidden logic to help detecting incorrect addressed and send out email only when it is really needed.

Now Eliademy calendar can be synchronized with any calendar application you might be already using, for example Google Calendar, Apple iCal and MS Outlook. You can learn more in our FAQ.

We have also made lots of other small improvements, added support for course logos with transparent background, optimized graphical assets of default course background pictures, made sure that all file attachments are rendered correctly on tasks pages and simplified grading dialogs even further.

Important note for teachers and students living in different time zones: please update you time zone settings.
