Case study: Illustrated Math Series

We rarely publish user reviews (they are public after all) but this most recent message really touched our entire team and we thought to share it with the community as a “case study”. We have started Eliademy 3 years ago as a social enterprise with a sole mission – make e-learning tools available for anyone for free. As the time passed, we have to admit we are far from being perfect, but we are still committed to doing our best to become the best platform for educators and students around the world. The following text is provided without modifications and can be also found at our Facebook review page.

Syed_HashmiIt is not that the moment I saw Eliademy, I fell in love with it, no, no, no, absolutely not. My deep respect and sincere love for Eliademy are carefully assessed based on an accurate evaluation through continuous research on the internet plus my constant interaction with Eliademy team over a long period of 4 years.

I am a professional Educator & Author with more than 43 years of experience in teaching the global curriculum in mathematics, physics and chemistry (including the K-16 US and Canada). I was looking for a resourceful but inexpensive or free simple e-learning platform for multiple reasons. I restlessly searched on the internet and found only two platforms which appeared to fulfill my needs exactly the way I was looking for (1) Udemy (2) Eliademy.

I decided to start with Udemy since it was being advertised a lot as “the largest platform”. I emailed them and got the response immediately with all the assistance I could have possibly needed. I was about to settle down with Udemy for good, but in the meantime, some very troubling facts started to emerge through reviews on Google, about policies on course pricing and sharing between the author and the platform. I then sent a very detailed e-mail to the then CEO to have a clear idea about the price sharing. After a reasonably long period of time without any response, I sent a reminder to both the CEO and the president of Udemy which was ignored. I concluded that Udemy was focused on the exploitation of intellectual talents in the name of democratization of education. It was a shock to me.

Next, I e-mailed Eliademy. They immediately responded and assigned a very talented and dynamic employee Jose to assist me through all the means available. As the time kept passing by my faith in Eliademy grew stronger and stronger. I feel now that Eliademy is the most truthful team with the pure and honest passion for “democratizing education with technology” – making e-learning tools available to everyone with crystal clear transparency without any tricks from their sleeves.

I would like to say thanks to entire Eliademy team who had kindly demonstrated their patience, generosity and care towards their clients. Long live the cause of education and the honestly true promoters of this cause.

Syed Hashmi, M.Sc, CEO at Illustrated Math Series
