4 Tips on how to improve your employees’ e-learning experience

E-learning is becoming a popular solution for internal training in corporations. It saves time, money and encourages learning together. As a manager you might be asking: How do I create an e-learning strategy? What should I take into account?

We have identified four key elements to improve the experience of e-learning for both your organization and your employees.

1. Create visual and interactive course materials

No one likes learning through a dry text material. Insert pictures and videos in your course content and you can make corporate learning become an enjoyable experience. You can also integrate your content from any other educational applications you are using in order to create a complete learning experience.

2. Monitor and evaluate your employees

It’s important to evaluate your employees’ performance. Create tasks and submissions to be completed and monitor the progress. This way you can also create processes to reward your employees for high-quality performance. Creating incentives to activate learning is a great way to benefit both your organization and your employees.

3. Engage your employees

The importance of sharing knowledge is crucial if you want to create a learning organization. As a Human Resources Manager, create active discussions and seek for feedback. Ask the participants what they have learned and what areas need more focus. This way you can see how your employees are using the e-learning tool and what they are talking about.

4. Link the progress of your employees to LinkedIn

To increase the professional competency of your employees, consider adding LinkedIn to the learning process. You can set up different skills to be learned from a particular course and then share the information on LinkedIn. You can also hand out certificates to your employees to provide official material about their achievements.

By Francis Ortiz

Eliademy, Demy, Demos, Democratizar.

CBTec Launches Eliademy for Business To Transform Learning for Small Businesses

Screen Shot 2013-11-11 at 3.57.32 PM

We have publicly launched the enterprise edition of Eliademy – Eliademy for Business. E4B is optimized for small businesses to create a learning environment necessary to meet the challenges of the 21st century.

E4B, an eLearning platform offered as a Software as a Service (SaaS) is a private learning space for organizations to create, discover and join courses. In essence, a subject expert or HR personnel can share knowledge by creating a course and inviting other employees to join the course. Proactively, employees can also discover the course via a private catalogue of courses that has a visual outlay similar to an app store.  Furthermore, HR managers or organization development personnel are able to have a holistic view of knowledge and skills within their enterprise through an administrative interface.

Why is Eliademy for Business so special? E4B depicts the simplicity and elegance of Scandinavian design; it comes at an industry low cost of 8 Euros per license per year for commercial organizations; and can be used to train partners and customers, even on mobile devices anywhere, anytime. Businesses that are Google App for Business customers can discover the tool from the Google App market place and import all their users with a single click.

“Any progressive organization can now use a reliable and good service made in Finland, the world’s leading country in the field of education,” stated Sotiris Makrygiannis, Founder and CEO of CBTec – the maker of Eliademy.

Small businesses face similar challenges on a global scale. Eliademy, now available in about 23 languages is designed simply and elegantly to fit into learning system demands of most areas of the world. To ensure wider distribution of the system, we launched an International Reseller Program that provides enterprise software consultants the opportunity to promote the learning management system to customers locally. So far, our partner reseller program has reached more that 30 countries with appointed resellers from Europe, Latin America, Asia and the Middle East.

Eliademy, our flagship platform launched in February 2013 is available to instructors and learners for free and will always be free. For-profit educational institutions willing to have their own private learning space can also purchase E4B. However, non-profit organizations and government institutions can request an E4B account for free. This approach is based on our social enterprise model with a mission of making education accessible to all.

We want to improve this, we want to make it better for you. Give us feedback and tips below on how to make it better for your organization.
